In the Bible, we read about a time when Jesus was asked by an angry crowd why He didn’t heal the man who was blind. Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” This passage is clouded by what Jesus didn’t say: “You don’t need to go to church! Just believe in me and I will heal you!” Jesus didn’t say that. This quote makes it sound like we should all just go to church and we will be healed for our bad behaviour.

That is not what Jesus said. Jesus said that if we have faith as small as a mustard seed – which is about 1/16 of an inch – we can do anything God wants us to do. It does not matter if we are going through hard times or if our lives are perfect; if we have that little mustard seed of faith, God can use us in any way he chooses.
